Privacy Policy

How GetCustomer.online collects, uses and protects your personal data.

Last updated: 6 October 2026

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how GetCustomer.online, working as GetCustomer.online (“GetCustomer.online”, “we”, “us”, “our”), collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you visit getcustomer.online, contact us, or use our digital marketing services (website building, SEO, GMB / local SEO, performance marketing, digital marketing, branding and content creation).

We are based in India and handle personal data in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the rules made under it, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, as they apply to us from time to time.

When we run campaigns, analytics or websites on behalf of a client, we usually handle the data of that client’s customers as a service provider on the client’s instructions. In that case the client’s own privacy policy governs that data, and this policy covers only the data we hold about the client and about visitors to our own website.

2. Personal data we collect

Information you give us

  • Enquiry form details: name, business name, phone number, email address, website URL, the service you are interested in, your budget range and your message.
  • Messages and call details when you contact us by phone, WhatsApp, email or social media.
  • Project information from clients: business details, brand assets, access to analytics, ad, search console, Google Business Profile or website accounts, and billing details needed to invoice you.

Information collected automatically

  • Referring page, pages viewed, time spent and the date and time of your visit.

We do not knowingly ask for sensitive details such as passwords to your personal accounts, government ID numbers or card numbers through our website form. Please do not send them to us. If we need access to a client account we ask for role-based access (for example, adding us as a user) instead of passwords wherever the platform allows it.

3. Why we use your data

We process your personal data only for specific purposes and, where the law requires it, with your consent. These purposes are:

  • To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and set up a call.
  • To deliver and manage the services you hire us for, including building websites and running SEO, local search and ad campaigns.
  • To send invoices, handle payments and keep business and tax records.
  • To report results to you and improve our work, using analytics and campaign data.
  • To send you updates, offers or useful marketing tips where you have asked for them. You can opt out at any time.
  • To keep our website secure, prevent misuse and fix technical problems.
  • To meet legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

When you submit our enquiry form or message us, you agree that we may contact you by phone, WhatsApp, email or SMS about your enquiry.

4. Client accounts and campaign data

If you hire us, you may give us access to tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Ads, Google Business Profile, Meta Business Manager, your website hosting or CMS and your CRM. We use that access only for the work you have asked for, keep it to the minimum needed, and ask you to remove it when the engagement ends.

The accounts and the data in them remain yours. We do not use client data to promote other clients, and we do not sell it.

6. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed with:

  • Service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting, email, WhatsApp and messaging, CRM, form handling, accounting, cloud storage and project tools.
  • Advertising and analytics platforms, such as Google and Meta, when we use their tools for our own marketing or for campaigns you ask us to run.
  • Professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, under a duty of confidentiality.
  • Authorities and courts, if required by law or to protect our rights, property or safety.
  • A buyer or successor, if our business is merged, sold or restructured. We would tell you if that changed how your data is handled.

We ask our service providers to protect your data and to use it only to provide their service to us.

7. Data stored outside India

Some of the tools we use, such as Google, Meta and cloud services, may store or process data on servers outside India. Where that happens, we only use providers that apply reasonable security safeguards, and we follow the conditions that Indian law sets for transfers of personal data.

8. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as the law requires. As a general guide:

  • Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 2 months, then deleted or anonymised.
  • Client records, contracts and invoices: for the period required by Indian tax and company law.
  • Website analytics: according to the retention settings of the analytics tool.

You can ask us to delete your data earlier, subject to our legal obligations.

9. How we protect your data

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and limited access on a need-to-know basis. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If a personal data breach affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.

10. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:

  • ask for a summary of the personal data we process about you and who we have shared it with;
  • ask us to correct, complete or update your personal data;
  • ask us to erase your personal data when it is no longer needed or when you withdraw consent;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it (withdrawal does not affect processing done before then);
  • get your queries and complaints handled through our grievance officer;
  • nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated.

To use any of these rights, email us at the address in section 14 with the subject line “Privacy request” and tell us what you need. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We respond within the time allowed by law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

11. Marketing messages

We only send marketing emails, WhatsApp or SMS messages to people who have asked to hear from us or who are existing clients. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. For WhatsApp or SMS, reply STOP or tell us you do not want messages, and we will stop.

12. Children

Our services are for businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data of anyone under 18 without verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Links to other websites

Our website and our work may link to third-party sites, such as social media pages, client websites and tool providers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies before sharing your data.
